Substitute the sardines with a different fish if your kitty prefers. The possibilities are only limited by the type of fish available at your local grocer. Just be sure to choose a tin of fish that is preserved in vegetable oil, the salted water variety will not work for this recipe.

- Not all flour is created equally! Always start with half a cup of flour and gradually add more as required.
- Finding the perfect cutter to shape your cat treats may require patience neither you nor your feline friend has. Simply roll the dough into treat-sized balls and press them down slightly with the back of a fork.
