Once a year, the charming village of Catskill, nestled just outside New York, transforms into a captivating destination for cat enthusiasts and locals, as it celebrates the town’s beloved feline residents with a unique outdoor art exhibition.
What began with two cats has blossomed into nearly two decades of vibrant community engagement and feline festivities, featuring 69 fabulous cats strutting along Catskill’s Historic Main Street and beyond!
Cat n’ Around Catskill is proudly celebrating its 19th anniversary in September 2025. During this time, the main street of Catskill turns into a catwalk, showcasing a collection of exciting artist renditions of felines.
Celebrating the charm and diversity of Catskill’s feline residents, The Heart of Catskill Association (HOCA) aims to promote awareness and appreciation of local artistic talents from Catskill and nearby Greene County communities through art, music, and various activities.
The organisation’s efforts contribute to revitalizing neighborhoods and enhancing the Village and Town of Catskill as vibrant places to live, work, and enjoy. All proceeds from fundraising are generously donated to local non-profit animal organizations, supporting the community’s ongoing growth and well-being.

Visitors from near and far flock to enjoy pet parades, adopt-a-thon booths, and various cat-themed activities that promote animal welfare and celebrate the unique personalities of each cat.

These fabulous works of feline art will be on display from Memorial Day to mid-September and auctioned off at the Cats Meow Auction on September 21 at the Historic Catskill Point.
Cat lovers and feline fanatics who are unable to attend Cat n’ Around Catskill in person, can view the 2025 photo collections of Catskill Cats online.
