Kitty S.O.S – April Food Drive For The Feral Cats of Cape Town

Capetonians Against Animal Abuse (CAAA) is asking for cat food donations in its April Food Drive – Kitty S.O.S. On Friday, 1 April 2022, the Cape Town charity posted a plea on Facebook, asking to urgently help with cat food donations to feed the feral cats of Cape Town during the winter season.

The CAAA welfare organisation is the source of food and help for over 400 feral cats in Cape Town, as well as the many kittens and cats in Kitten HQ and Foster homes. They all depend on CAAA for everything they need. The feral cats of Cape Town are always out there, waiting for the Feeders from CAAA to arrive like clockwork.

They know that no matter the weather, CAAA will be there. We are the one certainty in their lives and no matter the traumatic experiences our ferals have been through, no matter how they may have been harmed or abandoned by people before, our ferals trust us to turn up. 🐈‍⬛

But Winter is coming and the food stocks at the welfare organisation are running worryingly low.

We have a knot in our stomachs every time we think about feeding our cats in the coming months… how will we be able to meet their needs and feed them all, as they depend on us to? And every time we get a call that another kitty needs our help we can’t help but worry for the future. 😔 Please help us.

The animal charity organisation, based in Edgemeed, Cape Town is calling on pet food companies and Capetonians who care for cats to help by donating cat food to feed the homeless cats of Cape Town.

Making it easy and quick for humans who care to help, CAAA posted a list of links to current cat food specials on Takealot.com. The charity is asking for donations of Montego Monty and Me 5kg, Ideal Cat Food 5kg/10kg, and Montego 25kg.

If you are in a position to help CAAA and the homeless and hungry cats of Cape Town, please deliver food donations to Cindy Washington at 3 Headingly Way, Edgemead, Cape Town⁣.
