Cheetah Outreach

Cheetah Outreach
Description

Cheetah Outreach is an educational and conservation facility that collaborates with cheetah ambassadors to offer unique wild cat experiences to tourists visiting Cape Town in South Africa.

The cheetah encounters and wild cat tours at the facility located in the Helderberg not only raise awareness but also provide crucial financial support for its conservation program.

Approximately 1,326 cheetahs exist in South Africa, with around 500 living on unprotected farmlands in the northern regions.

Cheetah Encounters

Visitors and cat enthusiasts can engage in a variety of unique wild cat activities at the Cheetah Outreach facility. Book a Cheetah encounter or go on a cat tour around the sanctuary and observe a variety of South African Wild Cat Ambassadors while learning about their unique behaviors and habitats.

All wild cat and cheetah encounters and experiences are undertaken according to comprehensive safety protocols for both the guests’ and animals’ welfare.

Cheetah Conservation Trust

The organization actively supports the Cheetah Outreach Trust in its mission to conserve and protect the cheetah population not just within South Africa, but also across its borders. It engages both local and international visitors in the mission to protect these graceful African predators.

For over 25 years, Cheetah Outreach has partnered with captive-born ambassadors. This partnership increases public awareness. It also bolsters the trust's initiatives. Additionally, they offer a respected educational program for Cape Town students.

Additionally, the Cheetah Outreach Trust collaborates with communities in free-ranging territories to implement strategies that mitigate human-wildlife conflict.
